Every Muslim understands the virtues and importance of Ṣalat-al-Jumuah. It’s a holy day for Muslims because of special Friday prayer. Importance of Ṣalat-al-Jumuah

Friday is a very important day for Muslims for multiple reasons. Above all, Allah has declared this day more important and valuable for the Muslim Ummah. Importance Of Ṣalat-al-Jumuah From The Holy Quran

 “O you who have believed, when [the Adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu’ah [Friday], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.”

Importance Of Ṣalat-al-Jumuah From Hadith

Muslims used to seek religious knowledge from the Holy Quran and Hadith. Unquestionably, the Hadith is also very valuable as the Holy Prophet (P.B.U. H) has explained everything about Islam through Hadith.

There are many Hadith in which the Holy Prophet (P.B.U. H) has to explain the significance of this important day.

“The best day the sun rises over is Friday; on it Allah created Adam. On it, he was made to enter paradise, on it he was expelled from it, and the Last Hour will take place on no other day than Friday.” (Tirmidhi)

Muslims believe that Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U. H) teaches about Islam according to the teachings of Allah. Clearly, if Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U. H) considers Friday a better day than certainly, it has some values for Muslims.

There is another in which the Holy Prophet explains more virtues of Friday.

“When the Friday comes, Angels stand at every door of the Mosque and write down the names of those who come first, and then who come next. When the Imam sits down, the records are closed and they come to listen to the reminder, i.e. the Khutba” (Muslim)

How To Celebrate The Sacred Day Of Friday?

Muslims make special preparation on Friday. Most important, Muslims also don’t neglect the important Sunnah on that day. In fact, also perform some religious obligations and rituals as following:

  • Proper Hygiene And cleaning
  • Brush Teeth With Miswak
  • Wear New Clothes
  • Use Perfume Or Any Alcoholic Free Fragrance
  • Go To Mosque As Early As Possible
  • Listen To The Friday Sermon
  • Perform Salat e Ṣalat-al-Jumuah
  • Specially Pray For Blessings and Forgiveness
  • Send Lots Of Salutation On Prophet (P.B.U. H)
  • Recite The Holy Quran Especially Surah Al-Kahf

“A man who performs Wudu on Friday, perfumes himself (if he has perfume), wears the best of his clothes, goes to the mosque and offers Ṣalat-al-Jumuah prayer while not harming anybody, and listens quietly while the Imam speaks, such a person will have all his sins between that Friday and the next forgiven.” (Al-Bukhari)

Unlimited Rewards and Virtues Of Ṣalat-al-Jumuah

Indeed, Friday is one blessing of Allah. On this day, Allah showers his countless blessings. Certainly, we must understand the importance of Ṣalat-al-Jumuah so we can prepare ourselves for maximum rewards and virtues.

Eid Day For Muslims

Eid is the biggest celebration event for Muslims. It comes two times in a leap year. Friday is just like an Eid day for Muslims. They wear new clothes and prepare themselves for Ṣalat-al-Jumuah prayers just like Eid prayers. In fact, it’s a day of celebrations for Muslims and they get together and performs religious obligations.

Fasting Whole Year

We consider fasting as one of the difficult religious obligations. In this, Muslims don’t eat and drink anything from dawn till night for the sake of Allah. You will also get the same reward for performing Friday prayer. Most importantly, you will get a reward equals to the entire year of fasting.

  • Going to Mosque for Salat e Ṣalat-al-Jumuah after a bath and wearing new cloth is equal to sacrificing a camel for Allah.
  • As compared to regular prayers, Friday prayer has more values and rewards.
  • Listening to Friday sermon or Khutba is highly bounteous for every Muslim.
  • Hazrat Muhammad pays special attention to those who read Darood & Salutation the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H).
