How To Perform Ablution In 8 Easy Steps

How to perform ablution step by step perfectly is still unknown to many Muslims. Wadu is essential for purification before every religious prayer and other religious obligations, etc. It’s a step-by-step process followed by Muslims to physically clean themselves. Moreover, it’s a purification ritual that involved the cleaning of different parts of the body. Let’s understand how to perform ablution in 8 simple steps?

Wudu is a simple activity however multiple religious concerns are related to this activity. It has four compulsory components which are known as Faraz Of Wudu. Muslims all over the world regularly perform this purification ritual before prayer and recitations. There are also some probation and limitations as many activities invalidate wudu.

How To Perform Ablution perfectly in easy steps?

In Islam, there are pre-defined rules and regulations about every religious Act. In Addition, ablution matters the most as it’s a compulsory activity before every prayer. Besides, highly important to learn how to perform ablution?

Step#1 Wudu: Intention Or Niyah

Before every noble deed or activity, it’s important to make a proper intention. It defines your interest and determination. Above all, Allah also considers your right intentions as a noble deed and provide rewards for the right intentions or Niyyah. Define your purpose of ablution and start with the name of Allah by reciting”Bismillah”.

“Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) himself explained in the Hadith which is narrated by Umar (R.A.), Verily the actions are by intention and there is for everyone only what he intended.

(Sahih Bukhari: 54)”

In Islam, Muslims can get unlimited rewards by performing every work with the right intent. Of, course it’s important to make sure that you have the right intentions before the right deeds.

 Above all, it’s important to declare intention in words, however not compulsory. Undoubtedly, it has a positive impact on your body and you will carry forward yourself towards religious obligations more passionately.

Step#2 Wash Both Hands Up To Wrist (3x one by one)

After wudu intention, wash your both hands three times up to wrist very carefully. You can start with your right hand and then alternatively clean both hands with water one by one.

Unquestionably, make sure you also clean the fingers of your hands. Most importantly, use your left hand to wash your right hand up to the wrist and vice versa.

After cleaning both hands, now you need to complete mouth cleaning internally. Use your right hand to cup water into your mouth three times. In addition, you can also clean your mouth with teeth cleaning twig for proper cleaning of the internal mouth.

Teeth are an important part of our body. Of course, it beautifies our appearance, and most importantly during prayers, it’s essential to feel a cool breath without mouth smell.

Our body is designed by Allah with unlimited perfections and functions. Our nose used for respiration and besides also provide a cleaning service during inhale and exhale of gases. Highly important to regularly clean our nose properly multiple times a day.

During the ablution process after cleaning the mouth, take water with your right hand, splash it into your nose and blow it out three times. (Use the left hand if necessary to help blow it out).Most importantly, proper cleaning is necessary for perfect Wudu. Besides, you can use your hand’s fingers for internal nostrils cleaning.

Abd Khair (R.A.) said “I saw Ali call for a chair and he sat down, then he called for water in a vessel and washed his hands three times  ….. then he rinsed his mouth and nose with one hand, three times ….. Then he said: ‘Whoever would like to see how the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.) performed Wudu, this is his Wudu.”

Properly wash your complete face from both ends. Wash the face three times, from the hairline to the jawbone and chin, and from the start of the ear to the other start of the ear. Most importantly it’s one of the first Faraz of Wudu which unquestionably highly important for proper ablution.

In addition, it’s highly important to properly clean your beard. The best way, clean your beard with water properly using your fingers and both hands multiple times. In fact, make sure you properly maintain your beard during ablution beautifully.

Step#6 Wash Lower Arms Completely Till Elbows(3x)

Next, in the second obligatory part of Wudu has washed both lower arms up to wrists completely. First, you wash the right arm including the elbow. You can wash the second lower arm in the same manner.

Make sure you don’t waste too much water. Prefer to use your wet hands for cleaning both arms. Besides, don’t compromise on the cleaning as its one obligation (Faraz) of Wudu.

Step# 7 Clean 1/4th Of Your Head (Maseh)(1x)

First, move the palms of both wet hands from the front to the backside of your head till the back of your neck. Second, move back your palms in the same manner towards the front of your head.

Let’s understand once again step by step.

You have to clean lightly your head first up to your neck and wipe it again forward from the back of the head to the forehead. Clean both your ears from the inner side with an index finger and outer side with the thumb from the bottom upward.

Above all, it’s one of the faraz of the Wudu. In addition, make sure you take time and properly clean your head and ears.

Step#8 Last, Clean Both Feet Properly Up To Ankles (1-3x)

Properly clean both feet up to ankles including toes. Use the fingers of your hands for perfect cleaning between toe fingers. Most importantly it’s the last obligatory part of all Faraz of Wudu. In fact, the last part of the ablution. Now you understand well about How to perform ablution?

 

Your Dua after completing Ablution

Ablution is complete now, prefer to recite dua of completing ablution.

“أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَـهَ إِلاَّ اللّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَريـكَ لَـهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّـداً عَبْـدُهُ وَرَسُـولُـهُ.

Ashhadu an la ilaha illal-lahu wahdahu la shareeka lah, wa-ashhadu anna Muhammadan AAabduhu warasooluh.

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah, alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger.”

Second Dua After Wudu

“للَّهُـمَّ اجْعَلْنِـي مِنَ التَّـوَّابِينَ وَاجْعَـلْنِي مِنَ الْمُتَطَهِّـرِينَ.

Allahummaj-AAalnee minat-tawwabeena wajAAalnee minal-mutatahhireen.

O Allah, make me of those who return to You often in repentance and make me of those who remain clean and pure.

At-Tirmidhi 1:78
